Opera Chorus of the Nationaltheater Mannheim

The opera chorus of the Nationaltheater Mannheim includes 56 male and female singers from eleven different nations and has been directed by Chorus Director Alistair Lilley since the 2023/24 season. The chorus features in a wide range of opera, operetta, and musical productions, making it an essential part of performances at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. The Mannheim Opera Chorus is renowned for its extensive, diverse repertoire, as well as its passion for performance and versatility in both musical and theatrical staging. In 2014, it was honoured with the title »Opera Chorus of the Year« by Opernwelt. The opera chorus is also very active in the concert scene, performing a cappella works or taking part in major pieces such as symphonies and oratorios.
