Pianist and composer Hayato Sumino captivates audiences worldwide with his unique style – combining classical virtuosity, innovative arrangements, and improvisation. With millions of followers, he has built a remarkable global presence. In 2024, he made a spectacular Royal Albert Hall debut with Gershwin’s »Rhapsody in Blue« and appeared at the BBC Proms in a historic overnight event. He has performed with orchestras such as the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In 2025, Sumino received the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Prize from the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and two OPUS-KLASSIK-Awards – Young Talent of the Year and Solo Live Performance of the Year. Looking ahead to 2025/2026, Sumino continues to reach new milestones, including debuts at the Beijing Music Festival and at Carnegie Hall and the Vienna Konzerthaus, as well as a tour of Japan with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. His new album »Chopin Orbit« was released in January 2026.
