Israeli clarinetist Elad Navon is the recent First Prize winner of the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, where he received all three main prizes along with five special awards. He has also won prizes at the Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition, the Aviv Competitions and the Kfar-Saba Winds Competition. Navon has appeared as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming engagements include performances with the Collegium Musicum Basel, Badische Philharmonie Pforzheim, and at the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele and the ARD Chamber festivals. As an orchestral player, he has performed with leading Israeli ensembles and in the United States with the San Diego Symphony, American Youth Symphony and the American Contemporary Ballet, under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Lahav Shani, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Vasily Petrenko and more. He is currently pursuing the Artist Diploma at the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles with Prof. Yehuda Gilad.
