The French soprano Suzanne Jerosme is distinguished by her extensive repertoire and stylistic versatility, which she has demonstrated in numerous roles at leading opera houses. After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, she quickly became a permanent member of the ensemble at Theatre Aachen. Alongside this engagement, Jerosme participated in several international competitions and festivals. As a finalist in the International Baroque Opera Singing Competition »Pietro Antonio Cesti«, she was invited by the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik to perform the title role in Reinhard Keiser’s »Octavia«. In the 2020/21 season, Jerosme gained particular attention at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival as Giuditta in Porpora’s »Carlo il Calvo«; the production was later performed in concert at the Theater an der Wien, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Teatro alla Scala. Jerosme is also sought after as a concert soloist and has appeared, among others, with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the WDR Funkhausorchester.
