Chilean tenor Álvaro Zambrano was a long-time member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and soloist at the Leipzig Opera, where he appeared in roles such as Tamino in »The Magic Flute«, Nemorino in »L’elisir d’amore«, and Fenton in »Falstaff«. He has appeared at renowned venues including the Prinzregententheater, the Bergen National Opera, as well as in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Barcelona, Cologne, and Zurich, working with conductors like Jan Willem de Vriend and Domingo Hindoyan. His current and upcoming engagements include the role of Eurimaco in Monteverdi’s »Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria« with the ensemble I Gemelli, a tour performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and performances of Vivaldi’s »Farnace« in Madrid, Paris, and Geneva. In 2026, he will also record songs by Gerard Schurmann with the BBC Philharmonic, perform in Verdi’s »La Traviata« at the Bergen National Opera, and give a recital for Hungarian Radio in Budapest with soprano Emőke Baráth.
